Have recently acquired a Tug, minus Engine & Gearbox. It was orgianlly fitted with the Ford 10hp Sidevalve Engine (E93W Series)

Not the Ford 100E series - but the old Ford 'Sit up & Beg' type.

Can anyone help - or have a source for spares.

Hope you help

Thanks Tom G

Sorry if I'm completely in the wrong ball park, not sure if this is a 100E engine or not, but I spotted this on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1950s-ford-10-horse-power-engine-gearbox_W0QQitemZ110467719695QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item19b863a20f

Thanks for this, and yes I did spot it - but £300.00 is far too much for this unit (it's pre 100E), and do now have a few 'irons in the fire' . Do please let me know is you do see anything else though. Regards Tom G

I know where there are two Ford 10 engines and a gearbox. I am looking for a 100E engine and box and got quite excited when I found these 1172 engines until I discovered they were not 100Es. Contact me and I can put you in touch with the guy who has them near Crewe.

Thanks for the info, however have managed to acquire a suitable 10hp engine/gearbox (E80W). The 100E is indeed 1172cc and is the larger engine, so not quite the same.

Thanks however for the thought.
