Hi, I'm sort of new to all this chaps.

This week I became responsible for a Lister LD2, this to my knowledge has been in a shed for the last 10 years plus.

Before that it was used to give rides at the Coventry Steam centre.

We managed to unseize the engine and got it started, so now I’m just wondering what to do next and trying to learn more about it.

I know nothing much about it, so any help would be appreciated.

it's serial number is 53599 is that a help?

It's been painted black, but I can see it was Yellow under that, would that be original or will it be green under that?

I also need to load it on a trailer to move it to my own workshop, I do have access to various trailers, but I'm going to need to make some ramps.

Any ideas what to make the ramps out of, do I need three or has it got to be one big ramp.

Will it drive up or do a need to fit a winch

I’m guessing it had sides at some point, is there any chance I could pick up some originals, or do I need to think about making, in which case I need to see one with sides to copy.

as mentioned advice needed please.

Hi I have an LD2 with a serial No 53812 and the date on the engine casting is 1963. Mid Brunswick Green is the most likely the original paint colour. As you can see from my profile pic. I have loaded my truck using just the tail board as a ramp. A winch is the safest way to load a truck but with a good ramp and driver skill and working brakes you can drive it on.

Hope this helps

Thanks for that Ian, soon as the ground gets firm enough I will have a go at moving it.

Will try and get some more pictures.
